well guys like many of you who have placed orders with vettes n more and have not recived or been contacted by them I recived a call sat. by mark dawson!! In the past 6months I ordered and recieved , rotors , exhaust plate , and zo6 screens and have been waiting for 2 months for my powder coated calipers . called the shop several times over this time period and was told they were at the coaters but were delayed because he had a bigger job that took priority. well last week called the shop and the phone was disconnected !!! I sent and e-mail thru there site and called marks cell phone and left a message on fri.well to my suprise I got a message on my machine by mark explaining what was up and he left me his home phone number!! well I called him and he explained how the shop was closing and the reason why things where left not completed was because of a personal family crisis!! and he is going to run his shop out of the garage on a smaller scale and told me he would get in touch with customers who had placed orders during this time and make good .he said he would send me my completed calipers this week. guys he seemed very sincere and hopefully will come thru , I'll keep you all posted ,

Interesting.

I have been attempting to collect from VNM $300 for over ONE YEAR.

This is the remaining amount owed me by them for their failure to deliever product(s) that I paid for.

Mark (owner VNM) reimbursed $200 of the total due last year, leaving me to apparently 'eat' the remainder.

Numerous e-mails and calls to Mark have gone unanswered during the past 6 months. Previously at least he had the guts to respond with promises that he was good for the money, but had economic issues to contended with first.

Per another post, I understand that he is now working out of his garage (home), and I do so hope this is the case.

I plan on a trip to the LA area (and the Santa Clarita Valley where I own a couple of homes).

I shall be stopping in to another home there - allowing me to distribute the rage and frustration regarding this matter in person, and up close.

it sucks that he had some serious problems at home and the business got hit hard by it. This is a service that seems to be very much in demand.

VNM at one point had alot of good products and services for the Corvette Community. Too bad it had to be cut short by a crisis and he had to endure alot of the resulting backlash from his vette brothers.

I wish him the best and goodluck to his former customers.

Hope you get everything settled with the vendor. Not a pleasant situation to be in.

I do not understand the comment regarding 'blacklash', all one has to consider is that he took many of the CF members money, and then proceeded to spend it without providing the promised product(s).

If this is 'blacklash', so be it, and I will not offset it because he had 'a crisis'. If he was the head of a public company and had done this he would be subject to the full extent of the law in relationship to his actions.

In a word, he is a ........., and at some point will be held accountable for his actions.

If he would like to take exception to the above, I can be contacted by PM, and will meet in person to provide recourse.

No excuse for not at least contacting your customers and providing them with information! Do you think your mortgage company cares about a family illness when you don't pay the house payment? Business is business. Either you handle it or get someone else to handle it for you, until you can deal with it.

I also got a voicemail Saturday.

I will give him another week for the refund that he told me was coming over a month ago and that his voicemial said would now be sent.

This is his last chance with me..., and quite frankly --- I have the means, will, and legal horsepower to bring into this.

Sorry too little too late. I have sympathy for someone going through personal troubles, we all deal with it one time or another.

But there is no excuse for taking someone's money or charging their credit card and reimbursing them when you can't deliver a product. Not in today's high-tech world. Heck you can credit an account in about 20 seconds.

Absolutely no excuse for this type of bad service.

Yep, you are right - heartless I am considering that Mark (VNM) has promised during the past 16 months to refund the money, provided in good faith for products he offered on this Forum.

So, if you do not feel that this is acceptable, send more money to him, and then you can feel the pain.

Otherwise, keep your opinion to yourself.

And, for the record, on Jan. 17 2004 I was in an auto accident. Since that time I have undergone seven (7) major operations, at a cost to me, out of pocket, of over $485,000, and the expenditures are not over.

So, I have had a 'serious illness', and still I am paying my debts - and not screwing anyone in the process (I.e., bankrupcy, failure to pay, etc.).

And for some reason, when they are reported by the members as not providing services as advertised, there is apparently NO ACTION by the owners of this site.

Why? It is the members money that the vendor(s) is using to pay the Forum to continue to be a "SUPPORTING VENDOR", so maybe, just maybe, there is a motive to allow them to continue to advertise.

Not anymore - but ONLY AFTER he screwed many of the Forum members!

He elected to leave the Supporting Vendor position AFTER he took many of us for the money.

He is a duecebag, and I really look forward to the day... and it is comming

During his January rotor GP that he used to rip so many of us off, he had a "Manufacturer" title.

With 20/20 hindsight I now realize that meant he would be making up excuses and not products.

There is absolutely no reason/excuse for a family illness to influence the way you conduct your business. You keep it separate.. I have owned a business for many years and would never do this to anybody, period. He made a choice.. simple as that.... and the choice was to take care of his personal needs while screwing those that had placed their trust in him...
