Default Sequntial Turn Signals Failed

I am not criticizing the application nor the seller because I might have installed them incorrectly, but after about 9 months of use, the contacts in the OEM sockets (into which the new mini-harness was plugged) corroded completely and this past weekend shorted causing the ultra-fast turn signal cycling.

I had to cut out the OEM socket and rewired the new socket (part of the supplied mini-harness) in order to have functioning turn signals again (back to stock configuration). I really hated cutting into the OEM harness!

I don't remember who sold me th kit and instructions, but to whomever it was, here's your chance to defend your product and installation procedure.

I think I paid something like $90 for it and I expected it to last a lot longer than 9 months.

if bulbs are good...
...did you use silicon heavily in the sockets when installed...?
I think StuzVette has been running with the sequential lights for about a year now...

WebElectric - $99

Oh yeah! the grease was REALLY heavily installed. I think the hot weather caused it to run out though and leave the socket unprotected. If I did it again, I would somehow seal the socket and plug so the grease was captive or at least the water couldn't get in. My concern was that I missed a step that said to mummify the socket with electrical tape or something.

Did you Zip tie the harness so that water would not rest in the socket?

IF it was WebElectric, then you'll get some help around this issue. I have the sequentials as well and I bought them from WebElectric. Some of the very best customer service I've experienced from a vendor. Let us know how you make out.......

PS: I see from their website that they offer a lifetime warranty on their products.

I second the opinion that WebElectric will stand by their stuff.. Somehow or another when I intalled mine, the modules were upside down and got water in them.

I sent them back and he was able to fix them and returned them quickly. No problems since then

Great people to work with!

Do you recall if this is the product shipped with your turnsignals? It's what is included in WebElectric's most recent shipments.

Its sparkplug di-electric grease. Heat shouldn't cause it to melt.
