I have a 2003 vert with the standard cd player. I use the belkin and my MP3 player. I got an extension cable for the belkin antenna at radio shack and taped the transmitter to the antenna cable back in the trunk. There may be a better place up front but could not find it. works great sounds the same as regular fm radio.
Do a search - there has be A LOT of posts on how best to do this.
I'm thinking of buying an IPOD since the best solution is IPOD specific. Currrently I have a RIO with 20GB storage and am otherwise happy with it... Ahhh screw it, I think I'll spend the money on an in-car computer instead...
May I suggest you scrap the stock CD stereo system and get yourself a good aftermarket system. I bought an Alpine model that has a hardwire connection for an Ipod. You have to have an adapter between the Ipod and the stereo, but once it is in, you can control your Ipod from your stereo head unit. I have the 20 Gb unit with over 1300 songs stored on it so far and it is all accessible from the head unit, with no RF interference. Hope this helps. I plan on going this route in the near future. I have the fm transmitter now, but the sound quality is horrible

I have this adapter in my car and I am really glad I got it. It plugs into the factory radio and makes a direct connection so the sound quality is good. It also charges the iPod and has other bells & whistles. Anyhow I would check them out if your looking for an iPod solution.
