Default Problem with cargo bay cover

I had a wierd experience with the cargo bay cover on my 03 coupe the other day. I managed to close the hatch with a portion of the cover flap stuck in the driver side latch. The hatch release would not work because of this and I had to force the hatch open from the inside. What a pain!!! Is it just me or is this problematic if you're not careful closing the hatch?

I don't see how the cover even gets close to the latch. The cargo bay ring should be in the catch on the hatch. The only way I see this could happen is if you put on backwards with the flap hanging down at the rear instead of in the front.

DOH !!! Then I guess that I've installed it backwards as the flap is at the back. Guess I'd better turn it around.

That's the only way I could see this happening.
