01 Z06 tire size question

I have a 2001 Z06 and am frustrated with the limited choices for tires. In particular, few manufacturers seem to have offerings for the front 265/40-17s. I'm toying with trying something slightly oversized on the front, but wonder what others on the forum have tried. I'm guessing another 5-10 mm on the front would be ok, but I am concerned about rubbing etc. What have you folks experienced with oversized tires on stock wheels?

yea, I have the toyo's at the moment and I'm pretty happy with them. just looking at options for the next set...always pursuing the perfect set of tires.

I also run Toyo's T1-S's and love them however the replacement T1-R's are supposedly even better - little stiffer side wall which reduces tire roll especially on high speed cornering.
