I guess my order wasn't big enough for him to bother with.
I sent him an email yesterday (MON) and called today (TUES) to confirm he received it. He tells me it's only $29 & with 12.95 S&H I would be better off going to my local dealer!
I guess if I had not called he would have left me hanging because it was obvious he wasn't going to fill my order.
I'm trying to support a forum vendor and he tells me to go elsewhere!
5% over cost versus retail, I would have still come out better with Fred Beans!
Thank you for your post. I appreciate you bringing up an important thing for me.

First, I guess I must explain that I am the Parts Manager at the dealership. My first priority is issues, flow of the parts to the shop counter, interdealership issues, etc.

With that said, I work on internet issues 2nd, which is normally rather quickly.

I was in a management meeting most of the afternoon Monday. I was greeted with a couple of fun problems on Tuesday morning as well as another management meeting at noon again.

I did receive your mail some time on Monday. It was for a pcv valve which comes in a 10 pack, an air filter and hood seal. Not that it isn't important at all, but the issue is with the PCV valve.

We do not sell that part number of PCV valve but once or maybe twice a year, so getting a 10 pack just to sell you one would mean I now I have a 9 year supply. So, I had my guys checking on getting it from our local AC Delco supplier before I decided to give you an answer.

Here is where the important part is for me. If I think something is going to cost a forum member more to get it from me after shipping is involved as opposed to retail I will refer them to someone else or another dealer. I don't think that it's right if I willing know it is less expensive for them to purchase locally for me to make the sale. I do this as a service to the members to save them money.

Honestly, I tell that to customers a couple of times a week and if after I tell them they're still interested I will proceed. That way everything is out in the open. You seemed to be a bit shocked by this and I apologize, but it is my own personal satisfaction of knowing I didn't "take somebody" to make a buck.

I would like to also point out for the fact that you bashed two forum vendors now over a PCV valve. Please refer to this thread...

I do a great service to the members here and my integrity and the way I do business is very important.

If you recall the actual conversation, I never said I wouldn't do it for you.

Gene.
