Sorry no pics. Leaving work yesturday, stuck in west bound turn lane for the freeway onramp. I look over and to my left I see a mel Yel Black top C6 vert in the east bound turn lane, two lane over from me one car up. I also notice a black XLR vert in front of the C6 with black 06 Z06 wheels on it. It looked like a GM test vehicle.
Then I see a black 06 Z06 behind the C6. Now they have my attention. I had a good minute and a half to check out the Z. It had a lower stance than the C6 in front of the Z. And the flared fender certainly set the cars apart. It had black wheels and the calipers were red. The combo gave the car a very wicked look. At this point I am wishing I had a cell phone with a camera, stupid me.
The one thing I did not like about the Z. When you look at the Z straight on from the side, the trasition of the rear fender flare at the rear of the fender to the rear facia! That extra four inches GM cut off would look so much better IMO. I Rolled My window Down to hear the exhaust just as some dip **** in a ricer pulled up and started reving his fart can. I felt justified to drive over his 86 civic, as I was in my lifted truck.
The light changed and I didn't get to hear the Z thanks to fartman. All in all the Z looked good! I didn't get to see all of the XLR as it was partially blocked by a truck but it look basically the same. I STILL LIKE THE LOOKS OF MY C5 BETTER. But I wounder what it might look like with flared fenders like the new Z has?
While doing the Plant tour when I was at the cruise-in they just were in the process of building the first XLR with the supercharger.
you were in the earlier tour? When we went, they were rolling the first ever XLR-V off the assembly line...one of the big lcd screens in the area had FAILED written in big red letters....so, something didn't go right.

Your lucky day to spot all those cars together. Doubt they will ever show up around here for testing, but I'm hoping the new Z06 will be at Bloomington.
