I am ( I--I ) this close to getting a set of HRE's... I am now glad I am working with another company for a custom setup.

I have crash tested HRE's and I can honestly say they are a damn strong wheel. Now for the track I have a set of CCW race wheels. For the street I have HRE's. I would never run the HRE's on the track. Nor would I expect them to fail me on the street.

i have a set of 541's and i wouldnt ever buy these wheels to race on.. personally i think they are way too heavy for racing, more for show then anything if you ask me...
go with magnesium wheels for racing...

HRE's sure are pretty! My buddy has a set (547's) with black centers on his Viper- It looks AMAZING. But I would pick up a set of Kinesis if money were not an issue.

I've never heard of corrosion being a problem with HREs either.
