I just bought an 01 TR, the car is in excellent shape was always garaged and has 13K miles. The paint doesn't look faded but has anyone that has removed the BSM seen a difference in paint color where it was removed?
Some people have and some people haven't. It all depends on whether the car was out in the sun a lot. Just take them goofy BSM's off. If you notice a difference then part the car in the sun to even it all out.

Hi Bk93 -
I just helped a friend remove the BSM's from his MY Z - no way to tell they were ever on the car.
If your car was garaged, you will never know they were there.
It helps if you have a friend hold a hair dryer on the area you are working, and spray wd40 along the upper edge of the bsm while you work some 14lb test monofilament fishing line along the bsm -
The dryer guy will assist by keeping pressure on the bsm - pulling it away from the car gently as you go.
It'll take more time to remove the remaining adhesive than it will to get the bsm off.
Yeah, but my car was painted again in Nassau blue... so what do you think I should do? I want them off bad too man...
If I were you, I would first try to find out if your BSM's were removed for the repaint. If your car was repainted with them on, it will look like hell once removed. You should be able to visibly see if they were painted on the car.
