Default got a little question

Just bought an '01 Z and I am going to be adding new headers. Should I change out the stock mufflers as well?

I may be wrong, but the mufflers and from the cats back should be titanium. I would keep them. They are nice. Unless you want louder. I kept mine.

I would keep them also. The difference in the weight alone is worth it plus they flow a bit better than the C5 mufflers.

I always thought the Mufflers and over the axle tubes were titanium, not sure if the H pipe is also... but if anyone knows that would be great info!

There's not a stock part left in my exhaust except for my Z06 cat-back. It's not too loud when you're cruising, but when you stand on it the sounds is fantastic. I will be keeping them on the car.

Unless you're looking for a louder exhaust note I would stick with the stock exhaust. The gain will be minimal if any. No point in wasting the money. My money saved from not swapping out the exhaust is going toward my cam package.
