Need HELP
its whats settign off some cods and im not sure waht it means ? any one know and can please tell me whats wronge and is it a bitch to fix or what thanks
The solenoid valve relay supplies power to the solenoid valves in the BPMV. The solenoid valve relay, located in the EBTCM is activated whenever the ignition switch is in the ON position and no faults are present. Power is provided to the solenoid valves through the relay from CKT 1242 going into terminal D of the EBTCM. The solenoid valve relay remains engaged until the ignition is turned off or a failure is detected.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
DTC C1214 will set anytime the solenoid valve relay is commanded on and the solenoid valve voltage is less than 8 volts, and ignition voltage is greater than 10.5 volts.
Action Taken When the DTC sets
ABS/TCS are disabled
- - ABS indicator
- - Car icon (TCS indicator)
Messages displayed on the DIC
- -Service ABS
- - Service Traction System
It also goes on to say that you should inspect the wiring and connectors thoroughly. Failure to carefully and fully inspect wiring and connectors may result in misdiagnosis.
Sounds like a heavy duty electrical glitch to me. I'd take it to the stealership, but you can try....
Inspect fuse 20A ABS/RTD Maxifuse in the Underhood Electrical Center.
If fuse not good, replace, cycle ignition switch off/on/off and check fuse.
If fuse okay, problem is corrected.

Turn ignition switch off
Remove the 20A ABS/RTD Maxifuse
Disconnect the EBTCM
Connect the J 39700 Universal Pinout Box using the J 39700-25 cable adapter to the EBTCM harness connector only.
Do you have these tools and know what this stuff is? Do I need to keep going?

Using the J 39200 DMM measure the resistance between terminals D and B of J 39700
Is the resistance within the OL (infinite) range? (I have no idea what that meant - Jack)
-----------------------------------
Remove the EBTCM from the BPMV
Connect the J 41247 Pinout box to the BPMV
Measure the resistance between the J 41247 terminal 7 and the BPMV case.
Is the resistance within the OL (infinite) range?
--------------------------------------
Replace the BPMV (Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) Replacement (Rear mounted EBTCM/BPMV) or Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) Replacement (Front mounted EBTCM/BPMV)
Is the replacement complete?

Install the fuse if removed
Using J 39200 DMM measure the voltage at the 20A ABS/RTD Maxifuse by probing between the fuse test terminals and a good ground.
Is the voltage within Battery volts range?

Turn the ignition switch to the off position
Disconnect the EBTCM
Connect the J 39700 Universal Pinout Box using the J 39700-25 cable adapter to the EBTCM harness connector only.
Using the j 39200 DMM measure the voltage at terminal D of J 39700.
Is the voltage within the battery volts range?

That's all there is. Hope that helped you some. I don't have a clue what I just wrote, but most of it made no sense at all to me.

----- i checked teh fuse it seems fine ??? also what wires doo i check ?????You say you checked the fuse. Did you use a meter or just eyeball it? If you just did an eyeball, I'd get a meter on it.
Past that, this stuff looks way too complicated unless you really know what you're doing. I'd be looking for a dealer. Sorry but that's all the help I can offer.
You might try PM'ing Patches or Evil-Twin, if anyone can help, they can.
