Default Headlight adjustment

I put the Sylvania 9005/9006 bulbs in my headlights and took a short ride tonight--the first time since a got the car five months ago (a '97 ) that its been driven at night! The low beams are useless a ***** on a boar hog--way too low and the high beam shines where the low beam should be. I have no idea whatsoever how to adjust the vertical attitude of the lights. If someone would take the time to give me a quick description I'd surely appreciate it

are you certain that you got the bulb housings re.inserted correctly. sounds like they may not be seated properly.

Quite certain. I marked the pre-installation pattern on the wall from 15 feet and the post-installation also. Same same!

Default Headlight Adjustment

Turn the headlights on, then turn the switch to "park". The headlights will remain "open" but "off". There is a 2" plug inboard on the bezels on both headlight housings. Remove the plugs and look in through the holes to find the adjustment studs. Use a small socket to crank them up or down, after turning the lights 'on' again. Piece of cake!

Mine was the same when I get it. I'm not sure what the owner before me did.... not drive at NIGHT???? I took the hole cover off the headlights. I could NOT get the adjustment screws to move. There is an inner torx, and and Outter torx. The adjusters seem to be soft metal.... the inner torx stripped when I tried to move them. Ended up taking it to the dealer, it was only $25 to get them adjusted. While your at it... if you have driving lights, adjust them too!
