Hey all,
Does anyone know of a sticky 17" tire with a diameter of 26.66 inches (height of the stock 275/40/18 rears)? I have an extra set of 17" wheels, and I want to outfit them with a set of tires that I can throw on the back of my '01 coupe to save the tread of my runflats when I want to have some fun with the car...I have heard that running any smaller than a 26.66 inch tire on the rear with the stock fronts will result in a malfunction of the active handling system, which is why I need to find a tall 17" tire...Any help you all can offer is greatly appreciated!
im running the mickey thompson ET Street Radials. 275/40/17. no issues with the active handling or anything else. these are my track tires. but lately its been to hot and been a little lazy to swap them back to the stockers (18in kuhmos). no issues.
Awesome, I have a set of 275/40/17 Nitto's that I was planning on using before being warned about the active handling issue...Guess I can use them after all...
