Oh yeah..I made the switch too, from my '84 to a '97.
Now that was the best ever. Like many of you out there this isn't my first Corvette. Had a '61, '71, '84 and now the mighty C5
I had a super clean 96 LT1 that i sold to buy the Z. I wish i could've kept it, but 2 vettes would've been a good chunk of dough every month. Here's a pic!
Well thanks for all the support guys/gals Im glad i paid off the 85 and got the 98. I couldnt go wrong I got it off a very good freind who was bored with it for 16000 so i feel i came out really well. Im not sure if i will sell the 85 or keep it im still kicking that around in my head. Ill try to get some pic up here been awhile since i have posted. also I got my first c-5 to c-5 wave yesterday too JAY
I too made the switch about a year and a half ago, '95 to an '04. Sold the '95 to a guy who has her as his retirement toy so I know she has a good home. Lotta money and TLC in her, I see her arround town occasionaly. She still makes me smile.
My C5 is a blast and a very different car. Now that I've got enough mods to run with my old C4 my affection for the C5 is growing!
about 5 years ago we had bought an 87 torch red coupe @ the carlisle show; owned it for about 18 mos & sold it & made $2k on what we paid (we got very lucky); about 4 wks ago we picked up a silver 2000 coupe. this is personal opinion but the c5 is a better car in every way. bub
I started with C3, went to C4, back to C3, and now C5. The C5 is one hell of a machine in every respect, a true pleasure to drive ! However, I really do miss my big block 73, there will be another one someday.......

Congrats. You'll notice the C5 is much easier enter/exit the car, the controls are better placed, and the ride is much better, plus the power difference is amazing. Enjoy the car.

theres a nice C4 for sale here in town that has caught my eye
just under 28,000 miles
How would you compare the ride and power from a C4 to a C5 ???
VERY nice! Low miles. I'd grab it. Looks like my (sold) C4. Power-wise, C5's will have it beat by 50 stock HP (roughly). Ride-wise, the C5 has a more refined ride.
Welcome!!!! The C5 ride is hard to beat but I love our C4, both are really nice cars to drive. My wife's C4 only has 27,000 miles on it now so it is still like new. If it has Corvette across the back of it you can't got wrong
