Saber, a forum member, has done this with his Z06 titanium exhaust. I've heard it first hand and it sounds great. He also had shorty headers so that may have added to the volume a bit.

Nice job you did. Certainly the price is right.

Yep, I did. It's noticeably louder at idle or cruising, and MUCH louder at wide open throttle. I did it to a set of B&B Route 66s, though, not the stock mufflers.
Here's what it sounds like at the track.

If I remember right Andy at A&A used to sell this piece and it was all the rave a few years back.

I did it and I'd do it again. Really can't beat it for the $$$. My welds don't look quite as good as the ones on John's page but they work. It made the car actually sound like a muscle car. WAY too quiet with stock exhaust IMO. I am outgrowing it though. It's louder and there is the decel popping which is nice but it lacks any bass like I've heard from the aftermarket exhausts. But with bass comes resonance. I have very little resonance.

That really ought to change smog readings if the tech puts the sensor in the wrong pipe. Am I wrong?

SHouldn't change smog readings, you're bypassing the muffler not the cat.
