Ignition switch
Left the key in the switch for a few days, battery dead. Is this common? Looks like the only way the car is turned off is if the key is out of the switch. Is this a bad switch or normal.

Since inserting the key "triggers" the memory I would suspect that leaving it in would result in the battery ultimately draining. You don't mention any other problems that you've been having which might signal an ignition problem. You might try posting in the Tech section also.
