I thought fix-a-flat always came in a can of air!? I just learned this past weekend that Z06s didn't have tire pressure sensors! That makes the fix-a-flat ok I guess. Anyway, I think any auto parts store should have fix-a-flat, but don't know for sure.

First, an observation:

If you are running run- flats, or not, if your sensors are active DO NOT use any 'fix- a flat' product. To do so will ruin the sensors.

If you are not using sensors - 'fix- a- flat' products are available at any auto parts store.

As to the compressor and/or tire repair kit:

Many CF members have purchased the compressor from Pep Boys, WalMart, Sears, etc. Be sure to choose one that will fit into one of your trunk storage areas.

The tire repair kits can also be purchased at the above mentioned stores, or from a good auto parts store.

I also recommend that you purchase:

-A flash light, preferably one that can be charged from the cig lighter.

-A shower curtain for laying/sitting on when a repair of the tire is necessary.

-A pair of long nose pliers and side cutters for assisting in removing the cause of the flat tire, and/or cutting the tire repair material.

Very good advices.
Now add a small jack to raise the car to your list (if needed). You can purchase that tool from C5 Frederik for about $50. Got mine & it's like 1.5 lbs! Also a lug nut wrench if you have to remove the tire.
Happy Fathers Day Corvette Dads!

As mentioned by several others above, Fix-A-Flat and the like can ruin your tire sensors. You might like to take a look at the following from the C5 Tech Tips section of the Forum:

Non Run Flat Tire Field Repair Tool Kit

Good luck!

Even with the sensors I would include a can of fix-a-flat for those instances that you have to "get outa Dodge" fast. The cost of a ruined sensor is a small price to pay if moving your vette out of a bad situation could save life or limb.

You can get a compressor and plug kit at a place like Wal-Mart. That's where I got mine and total cost was about $35. If you are running sensors in the wheels, may want to stay away from the fix-a-flat stuff - it can ruin them.
