Exhaust plate installation?
When installing your exhaust plate did you leave a little overhang at the bottom or installed it flush with the bottom of the plastic boot? (or whatever its called) Your installation expertise is appreciated.

Think about it from the point of view from angle it will normally be seen. Certainly not by anyone lying or sitting the ground.
Use a little tape to temporarily hold it in position then stand back and you'll figure it out.

Mine sits flush with the bottom, just try it with some painters tape then mark the position and apply. Thats how I did it.
Make sure you clean the area real well with alcohol and let it dry.

Go flush with the bottom and I would recommend having someone else help you out. Looking at the plate from 12 feet looks alot different from 2 feet.

I left about a half inch of overhang so it is easier to see. No problems after about 10k miles.

While the back end was in the air for caliper painting, I installed my exhaust plate. I used a paint stir stick and held it on the bottom of the "box". I held the stick so it was long from left to right, with a majority of the stick on the "box" with a little sticking out on the aft side. I used this ledge to rest the bottom of the exhaust plate on. Once it was centered left to right, I pressed it into place.

No over hang, that is drag when the pedal is to the floor. I found that lining it up with bottom of the lip made a perfect look from a distance and closer up. I think you find that lining it with the bottom will ensure that it isn't crooked. LOL!
GOOD LUCK!

1/2 inch or so overhang. Mine have the exaust pipe cutout area and fit perfectly.
