Paul I know EXACTLY how you feel. I told my wife it's either going to look really cool or I'm going to totally screw up the rear of my car. It was with great trepidation that I pulled the trigger on that spray can.
Can I make a suggestion for the next person though. Go to your local paint and bodyshop supply place and ask for a fiberglass pencil. It's just a pencil with a 1/8" diameter of fiberglass strands so you can sand inside the recess. If you don't, you may find all that beautiful and hard work will blow off if you use a pressure washer.
