Before I had mine dyno tuned with LS1 edit, my shift points were way too low in stock form, only around 5700 (if you believe the tach) I had them bumped up to 6000 though. The LS1 likes to rev, even when bone stock. Your best ET will come from having your shift points as close to the rev limiter as possible (trust me on this one, I spent a long time playing around with shift points in my former 98 Formula)
I ran the Predator program on my 02 coupe and although I set the shift point for 1st gear at 6000 rpm and rev limiter at 6200 the sucker is hitting the limiter at WOT. It will not shiftt at 6000 without me lifting first. All other gears work just fine. What in the heck is happening?

I have a predator and if I increase the mph anywhere over 42 it will ignor the rpm set point and go for the mph set point. The mph set is to extend 1st. gear at part throttle.

Roger that. Decrease your mph shift and it will shift!
