Great work. The mess looks even bigger than when I put the aluminum bezels on my gauges! Turned out awsome. I love my HUD. It should not be optional.

Great Job
Good pics and story.

You are braver then I to tear apart the dash then cut it open.

I love my HUD, but mine came with the car.

Great job and congradulations....As most of us who have added HUD to our cars have previously said about the install, "not as difficult as we had thought." Enjoy---you'll love it..

Way to go !!!

I see you used my 'screws and washers' technique.
Somehow, I had a little more meat around the screw holes when I did mine. <shrug>

I see your display is about where mine is on the windshield. I can't adjust it any higher without cutting off the top of the display. Have you had this issue?

When I saw how low I had to keep it I honestly felt luke warm at best about the HUD option. Not really that happy with it given the effort to install.

that is just I have HUD in my grand prix and love it. I just put my vet up for sale this past week because I want one with HUD and chrome thin spoke instead of my WW's and no HUD.

I thought this was the best route. I didn't want to epoxy anything.

It wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated. Everything went along smoothly.

Actually, the pics were taken with the camera above the steering wheel. I adjusted the display higher and I don't have any issues with it getting cut off. I'm very happy with the results.

Wow, great job. That's a project I'd like to do but I need a new instrument panel and speedo as well since mine is a pre-hud '97. I just don't think I'll ever get to doing it.

That makes us ALL happy.

I just wish it was adjustable left and right...for when I'm dirving with my elbow on the console and chin in my hand. (some people are never satisfied)

Congrats again!

I hope to install the HUD this weekend. I plan on securing the bezel to the dash pad with screws and washers in a similar fashion. How long of screws did you guys use? What is the purpose of the legs on the bezel that need to be cut? How is it secured in a factory installed unit?

I think I'll use double sided tape to hold down the front legs of the projector. I don't think it is going anywhere, especially since it is screwed down at the rear leg of the projector.
