Default Autozone Portable Air Compressor

I just switched to non-runflat tires and now I need an air compressor just in case. I saw a small portable one at Autozone that you hook up to your cigeratte lighter for like $20. Anybody have this and is it any good? This one is small enough to fit in the small storage compartments on the hatchback.

I've got it...but havent had to use it yet (thank goodness).

I bought the small one that has a bottle of the green slime stuff in it as well. I know the slime stuff will probably kill my sensors if I ever have to use it but thats better than being stranded somewhere. I also have a small kit of the rubber plugs for screw holes and such that I carry around just in case.

As you said, it all fit perfectly in one of the small storage compartments so it good insurance to have.

Seem one used on my Pa's Silverado...worked, Vette tires aren't magical(the magical part is the SS Hood Seal ). So, I say smart move. Safer is ALWAYS cheaper than sorry.

I didn't buy mine from AutoZone, but got a Campbell Hausfield from Wal-Mart. Works great and about the same price. Don't see why the one from AutoZone wouldn't work OK.

Got mine at Walmart also!! Don't forget plug kit and I also have a 19.99 low profile jack from Sears. Two pieces of 2 x 6 lumber 6 inches long!! All fit in center compartment nicely!!

That was going to be my question... With a flat tire (front or back), how on earth could you get it high enough to jack it up?

I presume that is the 2 x 6's role?

I have a smaller one I got from CostCo, does the job.
I just got my 33 gallon one from Sears.
The only draw back with the smaller ones is wear on the hose connections.
