Default Polished Z06

Well, I want to change my stock Z06's.. but I don't want to buy aftermarket.. I either want to chrome my rimes, exchange them for chromes.. or have them polished...

Anyone have any pictures of polished stock Z06 rims? particularly on an EB?

thanks

There was a guy in the corvetteactioncenter.com that had polished his rims. It looked pretty good, but the chrome just has that much more bling. I have the chrome rims and people say it really brings out the electron blue color.

Do you know of a company that will send a set of chromies to you, let you mount them, then send them your stock wheels after?

They'll probably all do it as long as they have your credit card to secure
the wheels. But, to be specific, I suggest trying Corvettes of Houston.

There are some good deals out there that you can buy the wheels outright, so you can save your stock. That is what I did.

I just have no use for 2 sets of wheels.. I need the money from the set I have, or just chrome/polish the ones I have...

...bought a set of "chrome" power coated OEM z06 rims, and kept my original wheels and tires (500 miles). paid around $1300 outright (local - motomotion in medina, ohio), and that included tax, and mounting and balancing new tires. there are cheaper deals and wheels out there, but i didn't want repo's, or dealing with shipping and handling, and chrome power coating seems to be a bit more expensive than straight chrome.

I did an OEM exchange with Corvette Mike and it was incredibly simple. They came UPS, I went to the dealer, had old ones off, new ones on, put the old ones in the boxes and sent them back. Shipping charges are all paid up front, so all you do is slap on the return label.

If it works out better for you to sell your wheels outright I am sure interested in buying them. Please think about it.

I think these are the chrome, I have the same ones on my car

You can check around for the best price, when I ordered my 04 Z,
I had them put the chromies on for an extra $600.00 I got a great deal

Bob at House of Wheels can have your wheels polished. I was considering that at one point before I bought my Motorsports from him.

Check around, I've seen several vendors that have chromed OEM Z06 wheels that net to $600-700 after you return the cores (assumeing your cores are in excellent condition). I'm considering them for my Black '04 Z06 and like you have no need for an extra set of wheels.... If you make the move make sure to specify the center to be with or without the logo as you wish.....

Call your local chrome and/or wheel shops. I am getting mine stripped, polished and clear powder coated for $95 per wheel. Couldn't find chrome for that price and I wanted polished mon my black Z.
