When I put my MT ET Street Radials on and go to the track, how's the IFS rear end going to hold up? Anything I should be considering on to "beef" up? Would a hardened output shaft help out and maybe the carbon fiber driveshaft? Don't really have the money right and I'm not throwing down huge numbers, but just curious.
A hardened output shaft would be nice but you should be fine with what you have.
The Z06 rearend is slightly stronger than a regular C5, at least case wise anyway.
The left-side ouput shaft is the weakest of the two. It, along with a DTE differential strut are the first things you should do. After that you should have a billet aluminum pinon bearing support and a heavy-duty right-side output shaft installed.
Don't put off the first two. Wheel hop and drag slicks are what kills a C5 diff.
Looks like more mods to put on the list.....Thanks for the headsup
