outside rear view mirrors

Default outside rear view mirrors

has anybody drilled one or two 1/8 holes on bottom of mirrors, for drains after washing or rain.....thanks

Don't waste your time, water gets into the base of the mirror from the inside. I use the air compressor to blow it out.

Makes more sense than the silly covers to me. You'd never see them (the holes). I might try that myself...thanks

only thing though, is back when i worked at chevy dealer we had a customer do that to his car and then kept bringing it in for high speed wind whistle (kinda like blowing across a coke bottle) and turned out to be those itty bitty holes, taped them up and noise went away. not warrantied. the covers make sense to me. at least my C5's mirrors arent as bad as my fiance's 2005 Sebring. those things will decide to drain a pint of water apiece when u get on the throttle hard....hahaha oh well.
