Default Question re: HUD and DIC problem

(Please forgive me if this has been asked and answered. I tried a search but got nothing on it.)

I have a problem with my 2001's DIC and HUD. It's the same problem with both: at ignition, the full HUD displays (all parameters) and the DIC displays the odometer. I can cycle them both down to what I want with their respective buttons (just mph in the HUD, and nothing in the DIC), and they stay that way as long as the car runs. But the next time I start it up, they're back to full HUD and odometer. BTW, this is a new thing. The car didn't do it at first, then started to do it only in cold weather, and now it's every time, regardless of temperature. Anyone else have similar problems? Is there a TSB on this? Thanks.

hmmm...both of mine stay where I left them, just speed on HUD and oil temp on dic. Sounds to me like the dreaded trip to the dealer is in order.

Sounds like a computer problem to me. Could be a connector I suppose, but I doubt it. The problem could be corrected with a memory reflash too I think, but I'm guessing.

Could be your battery going dead or a problem with the battery, check the connections to see if they are corrided.
