Default Help! Shipping options for Ti's

I reached an agreement to sell my titanium exhaust. When I took them to the UPS store it will cost $100 ($50 ea.) to bubble wrap each and send them from Nebraska to Georgia.

The buyer agreed to pay shipping (he doesn't know the cost yet) but I was wondering, in all fairness, if anyone has compared UPS to other shippers and how prices compare.

Thanks, guys, appreciate any input!

John

Not a problem at all, I sold mine a couple of weeks ago. Go to the Uhaul store, and get the large wardrobe box. put them in there straight in, but crossways, one muffler on bottom, one muffler on top, and when you look down, it should form an X. hard to explain but when you do it, you'll see what i'm talking about. stuff it full of empty shoe boxes, newspaper, popcorn, smaller boxes, to keep it from moving too much. I shipped them from Orlando to NY for $78. + $11 for the box. (I underestimated shipping costs when I quoted the guy who bought them). Make sure to use lots of tape also. Hope that helps..

I just had a set shipped to me from Maryland to Louisiana in a uhaul wardrobe box for $32 through UPS. I don't know how much the box was, but the shipping was very reasonable.

My $.02 worth...

Some people have said UPS has just tapped them together, wrapped in bubble wrap and off they went.

Goto a bike shop and grab an empty bike box. Wrap the tips and box them up anbd you should be straight. Boxes are usually free, look to the side of the dumpster at a bike shop.
