Polishing Wagon Wheels??

Can this be done? I know they are aluminum but are they powder coated or painted? If properly stripped can they be polished and clear coated? I have a powder coat place that has done some work for me and they now have a wheel polisher machine...thought it might be nice to get a set polished and then have a clear baked onto them...

any thoughts?

Yes, it can be done. Paint stripper and bead blasting can remove the powder coat. One of my nieghbors has polished wagons on his red C5 ... looks good too

I dont know why it could not be done,it would just take some time to do it.It would be interesting to see the end product.I still have the chrome ones on my 99 for now .
