clutch in, clutch out, clutch in, clutch out .. what's more fun than that!?

plus you get the added benefit of comfort.

My Corvette is the first new car I ever bought. I brought it home, parked it in the garage, waxed it and gazed at its beautiful lines for two months. Do I save it for 30 years till it becomes valuable? Shoot, I'll be lucky to still be here. Do I want to be a Corvette owner, or a Corvette driver. Life is short. Drive it or, if you can afford it, buy another one to drive and save the other. My only regret, I wasted two months.

A friend of mine just bought a "used" 1995 Vette three weeks ago. It is a stunning black coupe that was driven less than 3,000 miles. He took it on a 150 mile trip only to have a water pump seal fail. The Chevy mechanic who did the repair said the cause was due to a lack of use. My friend is now worried about what else might fail similarly but overall he is VERY happy with the car and the deal he got.

I don't know if this helps with your question Business Aviation but it's one data point.

BTW, Would you let me know when you're ready to sell your car?

as you know, life is too short - period! i've said this more than once, but i could be dead tomorrow. picture this; my wife remarries - there will be some guy sittin' in my lazy boy, drinking my beer, watching my big screen, while pattin' the old lady on the a$$. now, i can deal with the lazy boy, the beer, and even the a$$ pattin', BUT i'll be damned if i'm turning over the keys to a low mileage corvette to some other dude! screw that!

DRIVE IT - that's why they put wheels on these things!!!

Thanks. Bone stock painted GM thin spoke wheels - came from the factory like that.

cars and car parts wear away based on usage and time. Even if one were to put a C5 in an environmentally controlled chamber, the car would still be deteriorating. Rubber hoses, seals, the battery, paint, fluids and believe it or not, brake pads wear with time. Drive the damn thing and stop trying to keep it perfect.

I'd rather save the miles for when it's fun to drive.
That I do understand. I have a beater jeep for the stop and go stuff, so we're not that different, but I do put alot more than 1300/yr and drive it more than 2x per month to be sure!

Oh, I do too. I put 10K on it last year. I drive it every Friday and then every weekend. I just don't rack up miles on it on Monday - Thursday.
