Default HUD Problems

I recently installed a HUD in my 99 Vert. There are several issues that I was hoping I could get help on.

1. The HUD will display information when my headlights are off, but once I turn my headlights on, the HUD display disappears.
2. The Page button does not seem to do anything. I press it and the display stays the same.
3. The button that is supposed to control the interior lights does not work.
4. The display is not that bright, despite my sliding the little slidder all the way up.

Does anyone a clue as to why this is happening? Thanks for your help!!!

sounds as though you have a wiring issue
did you cut any wires at all ?

if not then make sure they are plugged in the whole way the hud contol plug is rather easy to not plug in correctly

as far as brightness goes i usually turn mine down cause its too bright

i just finished the retrofit into my 98

I will check the plug again. I purchased it from a corvetteforum member. It is not a genuin GM part. I am hoping that is the only problem. Now to take the dash apart again!
