Xm Commander Install??
I have been doing the reSEARCH on putting one of these in the my C5 and I have found alot of good info. I have even bought one and ordered my gm10-aux plus my changer cable to go with it, but I notice no one describes how to get power to the commander unit in the back. Does it patch off the changer cable somehow? Do I need to use the gm hidden 12v cables under the passenger footwell? Also do I get RAP power for the commander? I guess I just need to wait till I get the cables and the GM10-aux and see what is involved. It just would seem like the changer cable should have everything in it(Rap power,Constant power, and Ground). I guess this is the one post NOT asking where to put the antenna.

Have you checked in the Audio/Electronics section of the Forum? I think there may have been some threads over there in the past that covered this. Good luck.

The cables will handle the audio, but not the power. You will need to tap into the "hidden" power source as you described. It's not that hard, and works quite well. I never found any way to maintain RAP for this purpose.
Oh, and you didn't ask, but I followed a fellow forum member's advice and put my antenna on top of the rear wheel well inside the car and under the carpet. Amazingly good reception.

Oh yea I forgot to tell you guys I did reSEARCH the audio forum for this also. So no one has RAP power for their commander? I did read where someone(markcz) had used the E10 or F10 pins on the IP fuse box. Where is the IP fuse box?
