Help! Squealing noise....
Hopefully someone knows what this is...getting a squealing noise from the car under acceleration. Sounds not quite like a belt, but close. It's almost a whistle. Sorry to be vague, it's very hard to describe. Like I said, it's only under acceleration, and only lasts for about 500 rpm of the band before I shift (around 2000-2500). Same thing happens in each gear after. I am not noticing any degradation of performance, no unusual rattling or shaking, so I'm at a loss. Checked exhaust bolts, any connections in the engine compartment, no luck. Any ideas?

Could possibly be the brakes.......Is the squealing "High Pitched" or does it sound like something is rubbing? Where is the sound coming from?

You know, that's a good point I didn't even think of. I had the brakes done about 2K miles ago - rotors, pads and calipers (yes I'm a dummy and ordered the red ones from GM). Noice definitely coming from front of car, very hard to pinpoint. Very high pitched noise, almost like a supercharger spinning.
