Default HELP!!!!!!!!XM Commander/Cor-Har Question

MY CAR IS TORN APART IN MY GARAGE!!! I am trying to connect an XM Commander in my 2001 C5 using Cor-Har and GM Aux-10. Do I splice the power wires for the XM Commander into the 3 wire side of the Cor-Har. If so, on the three wire side of the Cor-Har, there are a black (assume ground), a red and a green wire. The XM Commander has a black (ground), a yellow (marked Battery) which is a hot wire? , and a red wire that is marked (Accessory). How do these hook up? Does the XM yellow power wire go to the Cor-Har red or green wire. There used to be a connection schematic here on the Forum but I can no longer find it. Thanks for your help. If the power to the XM doesn't come from the Cor-Har how do I get power to the XM controller? I am usually very good at this but am having problems here.

P.S I have also posted this in the General Audio Forum, but the C5 General gets more hits and I desperately need to finish the install and get my car back together.

As usual, thanks in advance for your expert help!!!!!!!

Not sure what the Cor-Har is use for, but if you want power to your XM commander, under the right dash panel, just above the BCM are three wires remove the passenger mat, and there is a panel that is removed, and behind that panel is the BCM, look for three taped wires). Yellow wire is "accessory hot" and that means battery power is supplied on this circuit when the ignition is in ON or ACC. The Orange wire is Battery B+ and that is hot at all times, and the third wire is ground. Most use these for radar detectors, but with the low amp draw of a detector and an XM radio, they can be used together.

Use the accessory spare as explained above. Don't cut into the cor-har. Just plug it in like the instructions say. I put mine and the AUX unit to the left of the kickpanel area fit nicely and ran rca cables up to the xm commander box which i mounted to the left of the area where the cigar lighter resides.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for the responses. Does getting power from the 3 wires above the control module allow the radio to remain playing with the key off until a door is opened? Thanks again for the great help.

Unfortunately, no.

It's not RAP. Just accessory power.

It is convenient, though when you're looking for power.

If I connect into the accessory wires above the control module, do I connect all three wires of the XM box (ground, switched power and "hot" power) into the three corresponding accessory wires; or do I just hook up the ground wire and the switched power wires? I know I am making this way too difficult. Thanks again for your answers.
