[rant] the c6 threads in c5 gen
I realize the c6 is a new and wonderful car and everybody is sooo in love with it and I have no problem with that. Personally I dont like it but whatever I've always believed to each his own.
by why the heck do i have to keep reading about it.
ok so for the past few weeks now I've read thread topic after thread topic .. "tested a c6" .. "took a c6 for a run" .. and everybody keeps coming to the same consensus .. the C6 is great.
Alright fine .. we've figured it out .. a lot of people enjoy the new bodystyle and it's growing on people. You enjoy the car that's great.
How about contributing something fresh to the forum!? .. all I hear is the same stuff day in day out .. it's annoying. Almost to the point I have to ask myself .. why is there a c5 thread if it's going to be full of mindless drivel about the new corvette.

I tested a C6 the other day and boy, I'll tell ya, it was great! The looks were killer and the ride was supreme!
Just kidding, Kyle. I'm with you on this one. Do the C6 reviews in the C6 section and leave this one for our cars only. You don't see reviews of any other generation here so why the newest one?

Yeaaahhh I've noticed that too! I think its kind of a "getting approval" or
"blessing" from the C5 crowd. Especially if the C5 is their first vette! That
way that feeling of "Betrayal" isn't as bad!

i hear what your saying kyle, but the forum is getting slighty boring. i dont mind seeing a few posts here and there about the C6's. i dont browse the C6 forum, but some stuff is cool to hear about. we all love corvettes, why does it have to be so divided?
if a C5 guy wants to tell us their story about a C6, then let him. if your not interested move on to another thread. its as simple as that.
to be honest i get REALLY tired of the "IBTL" replies and stuff like that. but i dont complain, i move on.

I agree that the C6 talk on the C5 side of the house needs to be kept under control, but its also good to hear about the good and bad things happening with the newest Vette. Kind of tough to balance that out.

This IS the right place for these conversations... C5 guys discussing the C6. If they wanted to discuss the C6 with C6 guys they could post it on the C6 section.
The same topic will have a very different discussion in both areas.

It's not about disliking the C6 or anything like that.
It's about ORGANIZATION. I don't get why that concept is so difficult to grasp for some people.
Think about it...when you want to find something about a C3, you look in the C3 section. It's that simple. You start getting things mixed up and the forum becomes almost useless as an information tool.

If the person is looking for feed back from C5 guys... Putting it in the C6 section will not get the person the responces they are looking for.
If someone post in the C3 section "What do C5 guys like about the C3?" It will be a dead thread. C5 guys aren't in the C3 section.

i agree. i dont think we post over in C4 land all the time do we? do they post "hey fellow C4 guys, i have a qestion/comment/concern about a C5" in C4 gen, no they come over and the C4 guy asks "hey..blah blah".
the C5 general is for C5 topics/concerns/etc
C6 general is for C6 stuff, etc etc etc regardless of what generation the person is coming from asking the question, its the topic not the source.
oh well.
