[Z06] ZO6 Fuel Door

ZO6 Fuel Door
My fuel door spring is gone to hold the pin out. Everytime I go to the gas station to close the fuel door, I open the rear deck lid and push on the cable for the emergency fuel door release, to push the pin out to latch it. Anyone else have this issue, and what did you do to fix it?

I have an '01 that recently fell victim to this malady. My baby is all dealer serviced, and has an extended warranty. It went to the dealer I trust to care for my pride and joy. The service manager told me they replaced the solenoid assembly. It was covered under the extended warranty.

The same thing happened to my 01, after my warrenty expired. I do not mind poping it from the trunk as it lets me look at the trunk liner 
It is the only little thing that does not work on my car. I need to fix it one of these days... How much was the solenoid?
