Default Help: Installing Euro taillights

I have a 1997 C5 and I took the stock tail lamps out and I seen that the stock harness is attached to the red side lamps by the wheels. The harness that I got from West Coast Corvettes only connects into the tail lamps and then plugs in like the original.

1. What do I do about the side lamps?
2. Also where the hell is this wire I'm suppose to cut under the drivers side dash?

Here ya go for the cutting part ... and maybe an answer to the side marker Q as well.

We all know cutting a wire is nerve racking, but it's simple in this case.

Don't worry where the stock wiring harness runs to, it stays as-is. The new harness will piggyback the stock harness, so you have a total of 8 bulbs in the taillights, instead of the stock 4. Snake the connector end of the new harness down underneath the car, and plug it in between the factory connector (near the pass. side muffler).

On the inside, remove the flat panel directly above the pedals. Follow the brake pedal up, you will see the brakelight switch tied to the brake pedal. There are only 3 wires coming off it, cut the white one, and don't cut it right next to the connector, cut it down further, so if you decide to remove the euro's at a later date, you can easily splice the wire back together.

Good luck finishing up the install. You'll like the euro light look. Good point on where to cut the white wire.
