C5 vert has more also. The afore mentioned wells and there is about 4" under the top (when it's down-as it should be). The C6 lays right to the floor. Add the power top to the C6 and you lose about another 1/3 of the space.

Coupes have way more trunk space that the others. My 99 coupe is huge! I can get two full sized golf bags, two gold carts (the pull behind kind of course), an ice chest, two pairs of golf shoes and a bunch of other stuff in there when we travel to the shore and play golf. I can't believe how big it is. I bet if one were inclined to want to take a lady out parking, that it would be big enough for some light horizontal action too. Just don't want to jump up too fast if someone knocks on the window wondering what you're doing. Might also have to tilt the seat backs forward and put a blanket over them. (Does this sound like it's been tried already>??)

Thanks for the replies, guys. My coworkers encountered a C6 owner in front of my building, and he told them the 6 had more space than the 5. Since I don't know the specs of a C6, I decided to get the answers from the best place possible, the Forum!
I posted the same question in C6 general, and it seems to be the general consensus, that the 5 has more storage space, in all models... not that it's gonna make my coworkers go out and buy a Vette now...

The C5 vert has considerable more trunk volume than the C6. In fact, the C5 has more space with the top down than the C6 does with the top up. I couldn't find the spec for the C6 vert with the top down, but to the best of my memory it is only slightly more than 5 cu. ft., less than half that of the C5 vert with the top down.
C5: 13.9 cu. ft. w/Top Up; 11.2 cu. ft. w/Top Down (from 2003 Sales brochure)
C6: 10.4 cu. ft. w/Top Up; N/A w/Top Down (see web site below)
