My button popped! Can I fix?
I then noticed the button for the washer was missing - all I saw at the end of the stalk was an indentation and some metal contacts. I looked around on the floor, finding nothing, and just happened to look up at the passenger seat. There was the button - apparently sprung from the stalk to the seat.
I got the button back in, but it was still depressed. As I was trying to pry it back out, the contact released and the washer stopped washing. It was only after I did this that I noticed two small springs sitting on my passenger seat as well.
I haven't had a chance to really look at this. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it fixable, or will I need a new stalk and switch?
Thanks,
CB
I had the same happen to me. Found the wiper fluid button on the passenger seat and the spring on the passenger floor. The button has two legs that have a nipple on both ends that hold it in place. One of the legs was warped and the nipple didn't quite catch where is should. Under warranty, my dealer replaced the entire wiper stock. I bet you cannot purchase just that little button.
