My wife just bought a 2003 50th Conv. with 27523. She got it from a dealer with an MSO, It was a BUY BACK to the factory. What are they worth and HOW rare is it? Automatic.
They are putting 3 new tires and replacing the brake system (pads, rotors etc). She is on cloud 9 right now. Any information please.

Reason: BAD TITLE
I bought an 03 about a year ago. It is not the anniversary, just an 03 vert with all options. Take a look at this month's Corvette magazine. It has an 03 price check in it. If you can put it in the garage for 20 year, I am sure that it will be worth some big dollars one day!
Deal was that the top leaked and the fuel gauge did not work and the climate control did not work. The factory took the car back and did the repairs. This dealer got the car Friday, we went today to buy a Blazer and this was sitting there. The salesmen who is a good friend saw it when we drove by on a test drive. I walked over looked at the car and ask him to get a price. My wife wanted the 50th on her 50th same year. But in Florida in 2003 is was a BID DEAL on them and no flop tops at all. This one was bought for $38,500.00 and she got a FULL Factory Warrenty on the car from Chevrolet.
Either this is the biggest hoax or she stole one. She picks it up Wednesday or Thursday. Then there will be pictures on our website along with the balance of our collection. All I know is this is the 1st car she has ever driven and was SPEECHLESS when she got out. We have plenty of investment cars but none that she wants to drive, now we have one.
Thank you for the information

Reason: STILL CAN NOT SPELL!!!
Great car! I love the color, in and out. HAve fun with it, there were over 11,000 made, verts and coups. As an investment, it's pretty poor but it's a fun piece of Corvette history.
Congrats to the wife on the purchase. There were total of 11,632 50th Anniversary Editions produced of which 7,547 were convertables and 4,085 were coupes. There were a total of 35,469 C5 vettes produced in 2003. Enjoy the vette. Looks like you have some fine autos in your signature .

Thank you, for her, she picks the car up Thursday. I will use our car carrier to get it. We call some of the collection GTP (Garage, Trailer, Polish) Not that we do not like driving them but there are to many nut cases out in the world today. My Rolls got keyed in a parking lot because the man felt I should give my money to help the poor. (he was driving a Caddy). The Ferrari has had the "FICKELED FINGER OF FATE" sent it's way more than once. We feel very fortunate to have what we have and got it the old fashion way.
Take Care.
Hey guys. I'm a pretty new member as well. I had the great luck of picking up an 03 AE with 1100 miles for $30,000. Thanks for all the great info on the forum.
