CD changer problems - anyone else?

CD changer problems - anyone else?
The 12 disk cd changer is a POS. 
I have an '04 and am on my 3rd changer. I spent over an hour this morning extracting a stuck cd. It seems that if it runs continously on a long trip, it just overheats and dies. I should mention that I had a jacket and some towels in the compartment too so airflow was restricted. But this had to be anticipated in the design. Has anyone else had similar problems?

Just keep getting new ones under warranty, try keeping the cover off the compartment, I would think airflow is key

I don't know - the one in my '98 works just fine.....and that's in Arizona heat. Maybe you are just having bad luck......

My 04 works great. I rarely use the radio.........always have a cd playing. No problems yet. Airflow might be the key to your problem.
