Panel Alignment
How do I go about adjusting the gap between the drivers door and the drivers front fender? My C5 has an excessively large gap between these two due to a door replacement by the previous owner.

Door adjustment
This is one of the easiest jobs to accomplish on the C-5. Open the door fully, and locate the door hinge flanges. You will see three bolts holding each hinge to the pillar. Support the door using a padded support. Then loosen the bolts, both top and bottom, and the "walk" the door to the position you need it to go, keeping in mind that you may have to readjust the door latch striker. I like to tighten just one bolt in each hinge plate, and then check the alignment before tightening the rest of them. Take your time and use patience, and make sure the car is parked on a level floor. You can do it! Piece of cake!
