My brother has a red 2003 Z06 with a Carvaggio convertible conversion (all GM factory parts) with 1800 miles. It has modified red interior, and Carvaggio shifter boot, steering wheel and door handles. Window sticker was $52,695 and the conversion was $15,000. He has no time to enjoy it so he is thinking about selling it.
I am trying to help him get an idea of what he should sell it for. I have done research but have not found a similar one for sale. He knows what he would LIKE to ask but also knows he needs to be realistic.
Has anyone seen anything like this for sale or know of anyone who might be seriously interested?
Can provide pictures and documentation on the conversion. E-mail me if interested.
Your educated comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
Should be asking in C5 gen or C5 ZO6. The Carvaggio cars are few and far between, but you won't get much for the conversion after the fact. My tuner bought one, payed no extra for the top unfortunately for the seller.
hopefully you get some sort of premium. maybe 20-50% of the original conversion cost, plus whatever the market value of the car is?
why why why couldn't you have posted this at this time last year? darn! i'd have been a buyer. i'm driving the same car now, except no convertible conversion.
maybe down the road i'll have it done, but for now i'm going to keep things stock.
