Question on wiring a Passport

You can buy a power cord already made up from a forum member here but I made my own from a spare black phone cord I had laying around and a couple of pin connectors.
The Valentine 1, BEL and Escort all use the same cord. Use the two red and green (center) wires on the cord and attach the pins to their ends. Push the pins into the brown and orange slots of the mirror connector (Auto-dimming mirror). Orange is second one from the end and the brown is on the opposite end. Red goes to brown and green to orange. Put the connector back into the mirror, close the door, turn the detector on and turn the ignition key to the ON position. The detector should only come on when the ignition is on and the doors are closed.
