Default I anyone using wheel locks?

I never used them, but never had wheels worth stealing until now.

They are good to have but won't stop pro's from stealing the wheels.

There was a recent post about a member who misplaced the keys to his locks. Number of responses about how easy the locks are to get off with a socket and a little muscle.

I use them, but I'm sure the Column Steering Lock (or lack of) would be a bigger risk

Yes, I have them and yes, I'm one of the folks last week that said I didn't get keys with the car.

Now that I know the situation, future plans include having them taken off and I'm on the fence whether I will replace them or not.

A cheap socket and a hammer from Harbor Freight will have them off in no time and only cost a few bucks extra. Me, If my wheels are stolen I need someone on the forum to send me a picture of their red vette with HRE's for the insurance company.

I hate wheel locks

Many times I go to take wheels off cars only to spend more time searching for the lock only to find out that the customer has it at his home.. Now it takes me about 5 seconds to get the lock off with a special tool.. They are a waste of time..

They actually have a special tool to take them off? I wonder how much you could sell that for on the street

After reading these posts, I conclude most NTB and Goodyear dealers
keep most of our wheel lock keys which is why we can never find them.
