VG, here's a couple of shots when I first installed them...

Click on my sig pic for a larger size image of the front.

I ordered the set of fronts and rears from Ecklers. Here's a link to the set I ordered: http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...QPQ92EXK32DC8E

Here's an image of what they look like uninstalled but this set is the so-called carbon fiber look: http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...QPQ92EXK32DC8E It has a checker board pattern to it. I have seen them in person on someone else's car and I wouldn't get these but that's my personal opinion.

The rears install with two small dime-size pieces of velcro on each that are already attatched to the covers. You just remove the backing from the tape and stick them on. Really simple and stay on well. I haven't tried to remove mine yet but am sure it'll be no problem. The velcro shows through the covers just a tad at night with the parking lights on. The fronts are slip fit between the light and the fascia.

I got my rear back-ups and third brake light covers from Greg and they were a pretty good match as far as color compared to my other ones. You can contact him at Gst20Psi -AT- aol -DOT- com or see them at his new website at http://www.c6corvetteparts.com/index...eff367500bec65 Greg sells black-outs for the entire car save the side markers. I only went with the Ecklers because they were a Christmas gift although after the fact I found that I like the Ecklers taillights better as they are curved where Greg's are flat. To each his own though. These three additional rears install with double-sided tape and I have had no issues with any of the fronts or rears.

Hope that helps,
David

Send a PM to Forum member GST20PSI (Greg). He'll hook you up with a complete set of blackouts and install pictures in colour and detailed directions.

that wouldn't be a bad idea... do they make them? why would I personally want black outs on an EB? blue outs would be more appropriate! Since black outs are illegal anyway, whats the difference?

I think blackouts are REALLY goodlooking on Torch Red's.

I want'em, but mix blackouts (illegal in Texas) along with no front license plate (illegal in Texas), and a bad hair day police officer will get me a nice ticket.

Mine are actually painted. I sanded the red lens and painted them with clear that I tinted with black. I've done a dozen sets for other Vette folks but I'm way too busy to tackle any right now. If your interested in having yours painted, send me a pm and I'll give you the details. Any body shop could do it for you if they want to, it's just not business as usual.
