Just heard the Auto Zone ad here in central KY. Techron FREE after rebate. I'm so there. I'll take 10 please. I hope other locations have auto zones and this offer.
Mail in rebates are a scam, a lot of times they never even redeem them when you send them it.
I have about 10 Pep Boys coupons with FREE techron, FREE Rainx car wash, and FREE eagle one wash and wax. No purchase neccassary.
When I redeem them the clerks always look at me funny. The best part is I bought the calendars for the buy 3 get 3 Mobil 1 oil free and the calendars only cost $1.
I bought a bunch of those MADD calanders at the beginning of the year at my local Pepboys. Great deal on Mobile One (6 for the price of 3) and Techron (free) plus a bunch of other coupons and freebies. Problem is the manger figured out it was too good of a deal Techron and some of the other free stuff and had one of his subordinates write "2 for 1" instead of "free" on some of the coupons including the one for free Techron. Anyway, when I go in to use one of my free coupons I got before the manager changed the rules, I always get a hassle from the sales person. I always ask for the manager and demand that they make good on their offer. I always win but I hate when that happens.
I stopped by my local AutoZone and picked up two bottles last week. When I went to check out, they knew nothing of the rebate yet had their sale posters on display, showing the techtron with the rebate. On the bottle there is a $2.00 rebate offer, so they sold me the two bottles at $2.00 each so that when I send the rebate in I will, in effect, get them free.
Thanks. There was another thread on this that went around just a few days ago. It may get even better. Check out the 13th post to the following thread:
Yep, it's true, picked up 2 small bottles and mailed in the rebate. One small bottle treats up to 12 gallons. Up to two bottles are included in the rebate.
I have 10 of those PepBoys calendars too. Someone fixed them though and the Techron is not free on my calendars. It's buy one get one free. Which is still a good deal. I only bought the calendars to get the buy 3 get 3 free Mobil 1. Hard to beat that for a $1/calendar.
I have just shy of 19k miles on my c-5 and have never used this stuff. How often do you guys use it? Do you use it in all your cars?
Only in cars that have crappy fuel sending units. For me that is the (Y2K) Vette. If I don't use it once a month or so My gauge nose dives to elvis after 1/2 tank or maybe 1/4. New ones are $800 so Techron saves $$$. Professional Grade Engineering my ****.
