total fluid change
Hello everyone,
I bought an 01' mag red vert a couple of weeks ago. It has 21,000 on it, but not knowing how the maintance was done by the last owner I'd like to do a complete fluid change.
Can someone give me a list of the fluids and amounts I'll need, and recommendations on brands. Also any tips on changing the various fluids would be helpful.
Beyond the fluid change, are there any other maintance items I should do?

Go with full synthetics, I used Mobil 1 for oil and trans, and I used Royal Purple for the diff...
Look in your owners manuals for the qty...

Go Royal Purple all the way! They have videos with actual dynos from Horsepower TV showing about a 8HP increase to the wheels with new oil/tranny/diff fluids on their website. Hot Rod TV got about 10HP on a classic!

I just changed my tranny and diff fluids this weekend. Get a tranny filter kit too for about $27.
