I need to replace 1 of my front 17" rims that I purchased from AAA Rims. The body shop ordered a rim from Chevy and it came in only polished on the out side not the inner barrel. My rims I purchased were polished inside and out plus clear coated. I have seen these before and figured that was the way they came.
Does any one know if GM made a 2000 to 2004 FULL polished rim or were these polished after the fact.??
Coupe not ZO6 and rims are off a 2001.
I thought all of the OEM rims were polished on both the outside and the inner barrel. Are you sure that he actually got the replacement rim from GM? Sounds like an aftermarket to me.

Yep, my '03 OEM polished wheels are this way. Look on the back of the wheel spokes. One of them should be branded with the GM trademark and GM P/N if it actually is a GM wheel.
The body shop is at a large Chevy dealer and all the other parts came from GM so I expected the rim to come from GM as well.
Thanks for answers and I will go down Monday and look at back of rim to see if it has GM part #.
I thought they all came polished ft. & rear
