Underhood Light
The underhood light on the hoodliner is missing on my Z16, the wiring is there, just no light assembly. Should I have one or is this another weight saving feature? Bought the car about 2 months ago from the original owner.
It should have one, they are pop riveted on, you should have two small holes where it was, if not you might have a replacement hood on your car.
No way it would leave the factory without that...

Thanks for the reply, yep, I have the holes so don't know why it's missing, oh well, guess I'll go to the dealer and order one, I have a pop rivet gun to do the install.

Forget about paying for one, you should demand it.

I agree, all vette have these. The last owner may have taken it out because the light is always on when the hood is up. Maybe he doesn't realize that it does time out!
