Glass Top
Does anyone have trouble with their glass tops? I just purchased a new glass top about 6 months ago and it is already showing signs of wear. Looking up at the top from inside of the car it looks like the top has a huge spiderweb crack all over the top. Almost looks like the whole top is scratched. Does anyone know why this happens or if there is any product that can be put on the top to keep it from doing this?

It is a GM Top. My car is outside all the time. I'm a college student so it is outside at night in my neighborhood, but during the day it's inside of a covered garage complex. Car gets washed at least once a week. This happened to my 1996 but it took at least 3 years before it started to happen. With this top being only a few months old i'm just wondering. I would have no problem buying a new top just wondering if there is something i can do to prevent this from happening in the future.

I'd be speaking with the vendor and seeing about a warranty issue. Should not be looking like you describe that fast.
